“The slight irony in our work is not meant as a moral lecture. We do not sit somewhere high on a tree, pointing our fingers at others. We are the equally laughable little people ourselves. But who are the big people? How big is a big person after all?” Silja Saarepuu asks.
Artist duo Villu Plink and Silja Saarepuu have created several witty videos, performances and exhibitions inspired by a joy of play. Since 2006, their most famous characters are “little people” displayed in various contexts, sometimes even forming a nation who do great things together, pointing to their national heritage. There are about fifty of them displayed at the exhibition at Tallinn Art Hall.
