White Cloud with a Black Twig

“This work from a larger series was completed in the spring of 2018 during a residency in Lapland. The snow accumulated on tree branches inspired me to create these rather realistic paper porcelain objects,” Allik says. The white clay cloud modelled between fingers and the branches of black clay unexpectedly form a delicate cloud sheep, which has been exhibited in several exhibitions in Finland. Today, this entire series belongs to the collection of the Pentik ceramics factory in Posio.
