Found and Added

 “I thought I would do a good deed by removing this tangle from the beach, so that the fish wouldn’t get caught in it. In my backyard, a chick had to be rescued from it,” Ingrid Allik says, in describing the story of this strange assemblage. Found objects are often a natural part of her installations and a source of inspiration, to which she adds ceramic objects. Here, the fragments and thread from an old fishing net are combined with hand-modelled ceramic forms fired at different temperatures.
