Only rarely – about once every five years – do massive sand hills form in the Männiku Quarry. Anyone who manages to witness this fleeting phenomenon is truly fortunate. To capture the surreal, almost psychedelic landscape, photographers travel here from all over the country.

Walking with friends along the village roads near Tbilisi, we saw a perfect rainbow arc across the sky after the rain. First one dog joined us, then another, then a third – until, all at once, we found ourselves trailed by an entire pack. And so we walked on, with the dogs at our heels.
