Dolomites, June 2021

Before heading to yet another Venice Biennale, I always try to spend a few days in the Dolomite Alps. The night before one such trip, a wild storm hit, flooding my girlfriend’s and my tent in just five minutes. Fortunately, we found shelter in a half-abandoned hut nearby, which we ended up breaking into.

Faroe Islands, August 2025

With four hours left before my flight from the Faroe Islands, I decided to check out a nearby canyon early in the morning. Out of the blue, a sudden downpour drenched me in an instant. All my clothes were already packed, so I ended up flying home completely soaked – though not before taking this photo, just after the rain, when the sun broke through again.
