Taave Tuutma
Traffic Signs
1998/2022
For the Kiriküüt art festival in 1998, Taave Tuutma completed his first “traffic signs” featuring works by Estonian artists. In 2000, he created a series of traffic signs showing world art classics for a joint exhibition of Belgium and Estonia. At the playful exhibition at Tallinn Art Hall, the artist combines these two themes, presenting famous works by both Estonian artists and world classics: Rousseau and Dali, Picasso and Munch alongside Johan Köler, Ants Laikmaa, Kristjan Raud and Ülo Sooster.
