Daughter and Son

Aside from a couple of early self-portraits, Vinogradov has not depicted himself or his family in a recognisable manner. The paintings dedicated to his son and daughter are abstract, minimally painterly, and simple, with the names Ivo and Helen inscribed on them. Beautiful and deeply meaningful, this unique approach to a dedication is not seen elsewhere in the artist’s body of work.
