Jenny Grönholm

Jenny normally doesn’t do flower pictures, or if she does, the little greenery in her paintings could rather be called “plants”. There are few brightly coloured flowers, but lots of tropically lush leaves that look like potted plants, even when they grow from the ground. A plant painting as a still life – here it is, in a rather large format and with outlines that are unusually sharp and clear for the artist. A true indoor still life, which has nothing to do with rich soil except for a trace of pink like a symbol.
