Glacier Elegy Brooklyn

The performance Glacier Elegy, Brooklyn was held in a public space in Brooklyn in October 2020, in collaboration with three New York dancers (Coco Karol, Anni Jürgenson, and Danica Salem), and was broadcast live around the world. The performance choreography was born largely on the spot and as an answer to the question, “What would you do if you were suddenly entrusted with the last piece of natural ice in the world?” During her speechless performance, the artist interacted with the landscape of the park by the East River and the people who witnessed it on site. The film was shot by Umru Rothenberg.
