Jaanika Peerna
Jaanika Peerna (1971) is an Estonian drawing, installation and performance artist. She graduated from New York State University in the field of interdisciplinary art (MA, 2005). Her works explore the transformative states in natural processes like air movement, water evaporation, ice melting etc. In recent years, Peerna’s work has been directly related to the large-scale melting of glaciers due to global warming. In 2018 she held a solo exhibition Glacier Elegy at Vana-Võromaa Museum and Art Gallery.
