Reet Kasesalu
Reet Kasesalu (1929) graduated from the Faculty of Directing of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow in 1955. From 1953 to 1989 she worked at the Tallinn Cinema Studio (later renamed Tallinnfilm), primarily as a director of chronicle films. In addition to 199 overview films in the Soviet Estonia series, she has also directed more than 30 documentaries, feature films, educational films and commissioned films. Her best-known documentaries include On Lotus Flower, Spotted Deer and Japanese Sea Crab (1963), Black and White (1965) and Woman Today (1974).
