Underwater II

Underwater II is one of two paintings by Tiiu Pallo-Vaik in this exhibition, which, like her animal paintings, is born from a new theme that attracts the artist – this time the fantasies of underwater life. Behind a grid of silver lines covering the painting, we can sense movement that is so abstract and barely perceptible that the image as a whole creates the impression of a sparkling mirage, and it is not clear whether it belongs to the realm of water or a dry desert. This is Tiiu Pallo-Vaik’s newest completed work so far.
