Tiiu Pallo-Vaik often varies her work process based on thematic choices. Currently, she is interested in fauna and underwater life alongside landscapes that offer endless inspiration to her. When the artist’s painting Wild was exhibited for the first time at this year’s Spring Exhibition, it caused confusion mixed with surprise among the audience. Behind the familiar line pattern that seems to form a film covering the picture surface, a slightly disoriented bear seemed completely harmless and child-friendly. Followed by the magnificent silvery black Steed, the emerging animal kingdom in Tiiu Pallo-Vaik’s paintings has become independent, self-assertive and glorious.
