Naima Neidre

Naima Neidre (1943) graduated cum laude from Tartu Art School in decorative design (1964) and the State Art Institute in printmaking (1971). She belongs among the female artists of the Golden Age of Estonian print art, combining the intellectual and esoteric symbolism of the ANK ’64 group with a slightly later photorealistic objectivity. She was awarded first prize at the Riga Miniature Print Triennial, first prize at the Tallinn Print Triennial and the Kristjan Raud prize and medal. In recent years, she has focused on watercolour.
