Tata Frenkel

Tata Frenkel is an artist and educator living in Vilnius. In 2022, she received her master’s degree from the Photography and Media Art Department of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Frenkel researches “Unseen Arts”, a term she coined herself, which encompasses performative speaking, storytelling and other forms of articulation and sonification.

In 2023 Tata won the main prize of JCDecaux Award 2023 and participated in the group show In Exchange to Ages in the National Gallery of Art, Vilnius. In 2023, her album Where are my skeleton curtains? was released (with Jan Glöckner), and in 2024, during her residency at the Klaipėda Culture Communication Centre, she gave a live concert for the radio show Grand Synth titled Grand Synth: Frenkel Glöckner Doppler.
