Ieva Astahovska
Ieva Astahovska is an art scholar and curator. She works at the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, where she leads research projects related to art and culture in socialist and postsocialist period, and entanglements between postsocialist and postcolonial perspective in the Baltics and Eastern Europe, as well as non-formal education projects, focusing on the current processes in contemporary art. Ieva has edited a number of research-based publications and her recently curated exhibitions include Difficult Pasts. Connected Worlds in Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn (2022–2024; co-curated with Margaret Tali), Ecosystems of Change (2021) and Decolonial Ecologies (2022–23) in Riga.
