Viktor Timofeev

Viktor Timofeev (b. 1984, Latvia) is a New York-based artist. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hunter College, New York (2008), and an MFA from Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam (2017). Timofeev works across multiple spaces, countries, languages, and disciplines, with a sustained interest in modes of representation and systems of order and control. He currently teaches at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in the United States. His work has recently been exhibited at the Latvian National Museum of Art (2025), Kim? Contemporary Art Centre, Riga (2024), Tallinn Photomonth (2024), and the 14th Baltic Triennial (2021).
