Anastasia Sosunova

Anastasia Sosunova (b. 1993) is a visual artist based in Vilnius. She holds a BA in graphic art (2015) and an MA in sculpture (2017). Sosunova’s multidisciplinary practice – encompassing video, installation, graphic art and sculpture – emerges from personal histories and their entanglements with broader cultural, economic, and spiritual structures. Her work is marked by an autoethnographic approach, offering fresh perspectives on themes such as the identity of Lithuania’s national minorities. Her work has been exhibited at major biennials, including Gwangju, Kaunas, and Lyon, as well as in leading art institutions across Austria, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Poland, the USA, the UK, and Lithuania. She has received several notable awards, including Queer Art Prize at viennacontemporary (2024), the Marval Collection Prize at Art-o-rama (2023), the Young Artist Award from the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture (2021), and the JCDecaux Award (2018).
