Mark Raidpere

Mark Raidpere (b. 1975) is a photographer and video artist who lives and works in Tallinn. He graduated Tallinn School of Communications in photography (1994) and studied film at the former Tallinn Pedagogical University (2000–2003). Since 2019 until present, Raidpere works as a photography and video lecturer in the Scenography Department at EKA. He represented Estonia as a photo and video artist at the 51st Venice Art Biennale with his solo exhibition, Isolator (2005). Raidpere’s works have been exhibited in group and solo shows at Tramway (Glasgow), Platform Garanti (Istanbul), Witte de With (Rotterdam), Fondazione Morra Greco (Naples), Kunsthalle Vienna, and EKKM (Tallinn). He has won the Fine and Applied Arts Endowment Prize (1998, 2013), Hansapank Art Prize (2005), 1st Prize at Loop Art Fair (2008), Prix Gilles Dusein/Neuflize Vie (2008), and the Ars Fennica award (2008).
