Hanna Piksarv
Hanna Piksarv (b. 1989) is an artist and teacher who lives and works in Tallinn. She obtained her master’s degree in sculpture at the Estonian Academy of Arts (2015). Piksarv’s solo exhibitions include Wood and Good (Tartu Art House, 2014) and Hats for Life (Draakoni Gallery, 2016), which discussed the effects of manual work on the mental and physical body. Later she has participated in group exhibitions, worked on art projects outside gallery, with the main focus on collaboration. Her recent exhibition Scarecrow Has a Human Shape (Haapsalu City Gallery, 2022) together with Uku Sepsivart dealt with the peculiarities of the human condition through natural and everyday materials. Currently she focuses on bringing visibility to care work through manual labour.
