Silva Eher
Nothing Happens
2005
In this piece, the masks are unmistakably just that –masks. No single tear escapes. Instead, we find a stoic gaze, a resigned expression, and perhaps even a faint trace of a smile. It is Eher’s paintings that form the cornerstone of this exhibition, as her sensitive artistic language eloquently captures the delicate nuances of human emotion. Both More and More and Nothing Happens delve into the duality of the human experience: the internal world, which represents the authentic self, and the external image projected to the outside world.
In this exhibition, Eher engages in a powerful dialogue with the young artist Daria Morozova, whose paintings are at times rawer and more intense than Eher’s, yet both share a similar essence.
